From what I can gather the only thing Pro Nav on the MK8 gives you is the ability to display the navigation on the screen behind the steering wheel. It would be £1600 wasted IMO.
Funnily enough my 2018 MK7.5 R has that as standard from the stock stereo that it came with. Not to mention "WinterPack", Spare wheel, bonnet struts etc.. which the MK8 R either doesn't have or has to have added from the options list. Team Muttley said:

I was very surprised how far ahead of the other two it was. I know it's not all about straight line pace, but that's impressive.nickfrog said:
The Tiguan's boot is the same size as a Golf estate's in a smaller footprint. Both great solution for airport runs IME.
So you mean it has more height to make up the reduced length? Suppose it does work for suitcases as they can be stood upright. But when it comes to packing in smaller items right to the top, the seat backs are well below the roof so some kind of cargo barrier is needed to make full use.F20CN16 said:

Yeah, that is a bugger.
If the threshold was higher or didn't exist at all, would that do anything for you?
Also, what needs to be specced on this to get it to £50k?
All genuine questions btw.

The usual entry points into these are cheap leases, which means staying light on the options for the best possible value.

You'd pay £44k though. Personally I think most of that stuff is completely superfluous in a hot hatch, particularly slippy leather and cameras/park assist (have people lost the ability to park a car?). If you want a luxury car go and spec up a 340i and see where you get to on cost.
Kind of agree, except, it trips over in to being a luxury car at this price point. I wouldn't be looking for a 340i as an alternative, that's for sure.Have to wonder about the 1550 kilo weight of this mk8. With the mark 7 r weights were all over the place. I often saw 1500 kilos for the 7, i wonder if the 8 has gained 50 kilos or so. I could imagine they have added a nice big particulate filter. That could be why the car doesn't get up on its toes anymore. j
Seems VWs figures are a bit conservative. Carwow have timed the 0 – 60 in 4.03 seconds.

You'd be happy to pay 3 grand for a slightly less restrictive and branded backbox only? £150 gets you pretty much the same results from the standard box being modified, which won't affect your warranty.

I'd agree there, I spec'd it, but wether I'd actually pay it?Silly decisions lead to silly prices.
