Paul was a tireless campaigner and will be sorely missed.

I wonder what Brunstrom will make of the news.

My condolences to Claire.

This is shocking news, and a very sad day.

He was the esprit d’corps of Pistonheads.

Condolences to the family.

Very bad news indeed. And the loss of a regular PH poster too.

RIP Paul. My sincere condolences go out to Claire, and Paul’s family.

Where road safety was concerned, Paul had no rivals that could stand with him in terms of debating quality, or integrity of purpose. From this position it was very clear to him that the main road safety ethos had been hijacked for fiscal expedience.

His explanations were shatteringly clear and were the best fit analysis, certainly from my own professional vision of road safety.

He has made the establishment sit up and feel a painful need to explain themselves to a public who were better informed, thanks to him. I believe he has caused changes to be made to the speed camera strategies, and he must be praised for that.

I admire him for encouraging traffic polic officers such as myself to search for value in our road policing actions.

I also valued him as a friend.

He will be sorely missed.

Truely sorry to hear the news he was a rallying point for much common sense that has been lost. I wish him a safe trip for fighting to the end of this life.
