Being an old git i'd say, look at the fun you could have with the cortina. That's a cool car. Stand out from the crowd, lots have bimmers, few have cortinas. You got zero depreciation, and easy to fix. Keep it stock or you could drop a 2.8i Cologne lump & drivetrain from a granada/capri in that and sort the handling for the same sort of money you'd throw at a BMW when things went really wrong, yet get your money back when you sell, cos it's unique. I was expecting get flamed for the Cortina! I totally agree about it only appreciating in value, and being unusual. They're asking 15 for it now (despite the price in the window). The last thing in the world I should be thinking of right now is buying a car, but I'm so tempted...Offer 12, give 15 if its in good nick with history
