Being an old git i'd say, look at the fun you could have with the cortina. That's a cool car. Stand out from the crowd, lots have bimmers, few have cortinas. You got zero depreciation, and easy to fix. Keep it stock or you could drop a 2.8i Cologne lump & drivetrain from a granada/capri in that and sort the handling for the same sort of money you'd throw at a BMW when things went really wrong, yet get your money back when you sell, cos it's unique. If you look after it, can only appreciate in value. Check out the relevant PH sections. Ah go wan, go wan!
Offer 12, give 15 if its in good nick with history smile

I was expecting get flamed for the Cortina! I totally agree about it only appreciating in value, and being unusual. They're asking 15 for it now (despite the price in the window). The last thing in the world I should be thinking of right now is buying a car, but I'm so tempted...

And along those lines, there is of course, this....

The seller doesn't give a price, must be north of 40k.

I'm currently formulating my plans for a sprint and track day toy. This was the last candidate to catch my eye:

Can't stop thinking about one of these for the weekend. For me they seem to get better with time.

F430 Scuderia - saw one this morning on the M25 near Heathrow. What a fantastic looking car, the first "small" Ferrari since the 355 that I think looks good in the flesh
