In one.

Overshadowed by its much more famous big sister, this was still a very pretty car.
It's the famous one's slightly dumpy sibling that everyone forgets about.

f you knew the numbers and letters then there was only one logical way to write it.
I can't understand how you could fail given 5 attempts. scratchchin

I knew the make and model series in 1 but didnt know the correct number.
What would Carle accept?
Mercedes, Mercedes Benz or Mercedes-Benz? 190SL or 190 SL? There's several possible combinations.
This was my issue.

Wasn't 100% on the model anyway, without the 3 combinations of marque.

Mercedes Benz 190 SL, Mercedes-Benz 190 SL and Mercedes SL 190 were all fails, there are more than 5 combos of those without getting the "correct" one.

I'm with Ron here. The third picture was the absolute giveaway with no sidestrakes. I'm all for trying simplicity at first so didn't bother with Benz even in the first couple of guesses in which I went for the more famous number, then I recognised my mistake. With Cardle, I always try the simplest version first, only if that doesn't work, I add more letters/numbers/trim etc. on a more progressive basis.

Mercedes SL 190 would obviously be a fail because you have put the cart before the horse so to speak.
It is a similar thing to people saying E Type Jaguar.

I did not know the number so simply put Mercedes SL as my first and only guess, but had I known the number I would have put Mercedes 190 SL and got it in 1.

A moral 2 today. Gave up after 2 goes because I knew Cardle was inaccurate once again.

Had no clue what the number combo was. Tried all sorts. Fail.

Well...

Writing Mercedes-Benz instead of Mercedes seemed to break it...

I wrote "Mercedes-Benz 190SL" on one attempt which in my mind is correct, but not for Cardle.

Yes you were perfectly correct with what you wrote. smile
The manufacturer name should have been accepted in both full and common abbreviation.
To be honest it never even occurred to me to put the full name.

Exactly this issue and I am still grumpy about it - maybe I need to think about more important things and move on… smile

It actually shouldn't have, because 2 very different models would be represented with the addition of either a single or in this case double letter.
That's cardle for you though...but we all still enjoy playing it. biggrin

Got it in 1 - guessed it would be the relatively more common model!

I'm loving the new cars even if Cardle can refuse Mercedes-Benz but take Mercedes.
