I've seen Jay Kay many times as I was once local to his (amazing) home. One of my bike rides went straight past his house, I've seen him in a lambo and also ragging a moped up and down the road (sans helmet) leading to his house with some big hat on waving.
I was admiring a mint 528e E28 in the local shops car park, after I'd just parked my old banger E30 up, when I heard a voice say "she's lovely isn't she", turn around and he is walking toward me with a bag of shopping. We stood and talked about it for 5 mins before I made excuses and carried on with my shop (and let him go!). He was just a bloke who loved cars and could probably have talked for hours.
Similar thing to this last year. I was making some very good progress on a B road in my old 996 when a brand new '18 plate 911 T pulled out of a side junction and caught up with me surprisingly quickly. I pulled into a petrol station a couple of miles further up the road and the T pulled in behind me and parked up. A bloke got out with a big grin on his face and nodded at me across the forecourt and went in to the shop. After refuelling I ended up joining the queue to the tills behind him and commented on how nice his car was and he returned the compliment (although I'm sure he was just being polite about mine!) and we got chatting. It wasn't until were outside a couple of minutes later having a look round his car and he was extolling the virtues of the basic 911 over a long list of other exotica that it suddenly clicked it was Jay Kay. Really nice bloke and very obviously a complete enthusiast. Very down to earth as well and left the petrol station in some style as well
Years ago, he was in a pub garden, when a brand new 911 pulled up.
Driver got out, and my mate said how nice the car was, owner said, "jump in, I'll take you around the block, which he did"
Car came back, ,my friend returned to the group of people he was sitting with, and was asked if he got the drivers autograph.
Driver was George Harrison.

Saw the queen in a range rover (driving) and many many years ago saw a car with the plate RAD101 , i think it may have been a ford gt40 with possibly noel edmonds driving , biyt vague i know but is was a loooong time ago .
I remember seeing RAD104 In Bayswater, well over 20 years ago.To flip this around a little, who remembers the TV show Soldier Soldier?
I used to get a lift to work from a colleague who drove a Mk2 Escort.
One evening watching Soldier Soldier and a new character arrived namely Kate Butler, driving my friends Mk2 escort.
Following day spoke to her about it, they apparently needed a beaten up old car, and paid her £50 to borrow it for the day.
