Do they let you sell it right away like that?
I think you can flip it but would need to let the BOTB guys know as it removes any possibility for them to do a follow up on the car you won etc. Makes things a bit confusing if people are in different cars to those that they won. coopedup said:

Sadly I think my poor old bank account might be getting a bit of a bashing until the novelty wears off
Also how do you find out how close you were to winning, do they e mail you to let you know how far off you were?
Well Youl either have a knock on the door tomorrow or Youl find out by logging into your account where it shows you. I hope it's the former! Also how do you find out how close you were to winning, do they e mail you to let you know how far off you were?
How long before you get your new beastie? I assume you have to pay for all extras added....

Early May should be the delivery date. Yes I added a few options to pay for myself but stratstone Mayfair were fantastic and through in the privacy glass. I therefore will only be paying for the wheels.
I hope that you don't mind the suggestion, but I'd add fixed Pan Roof to that car if I were you. Lovely spec otherwise. 21's and Privacy pretty much a must have. Not necessarily vital - and you may not get ALL of the £1,555.00 back that it costs BUT it's a nice thing to have, you will certainly get some of the cost back and it will definitely make the car MUCH easier to sell when you are finished with it.
As I say - not vital but just my 2p worth (as a Range Rover Dealer).
Fair play to you sir and congratulations on the win!

I think my only "concern" with that plan would be that'd I'd never ever be able to follow up with the car that I won after the first year or two. Everything else would always be inferior in some way
Not sure on this. My aim will to be to keep 40k equity at which point I move into another 55k car, keep until worth 40k and so on. By doing this you can keep a very nice bit of metal on the drive for a minimal monthly. Edited by Calza on Tuesday 15th March 09:05
I'm very fortunate that I'm not in a position where I desperately need cash or can't afford to run the car I've won so why not use it and enjoy it? The whole point of this competition is to win the car not the cash!
A little tip for everyone that helped me. Don't spread your cross hairs too widely. Decide on a small area and plaster it with your tickets. If you get the concentrated area correct you will have more chance of winning. I guess what I'm saying is don't hedge your bets. Choose a spot and put evrything there.

Congrats to the OP, how long do have to wait now?
I won the Caterham 620R in October and it finally goes in to production this week with an estimated delivery of May. Perfect summer timing!
Good work!! Mine is also estimated for early May. Our two cars would make the perfect two car fleet!I won the Caterham 620R in October and it finally goes in to production this week with an estimated delivery of May. Perfect summer timing!

I've had another go this week with 15 tickets.
5 are for my mum as it would be great to surprise her - either that or i'm being greedy!
Good luck again! - that chap won twice at the start of 2015, AMG GT first then a Cayenne Turbo a couple of weeks later.5 are for my mum as it would be great to surprise her - either that or i'm being greedy!

Thoughts are to keep the car given how rare and special this is. Memories are important things and every time I drive the car I will remember the feeling of realising i'd won.
Congratulations Shared house, Range Rover sport
Sell it while it's new and buy a house, if you don't 5 years from now when it's worth buttons you'll be thinking, what a tt
Plus it'll bleed you dry .
Some years ago I had an old jaguar , it had to go into jaguar so they got my address, a few weeks later I got a letter
Special rate finance on a RR vogue
£36,000 deposit
35 monthly payments of £999
Optional final payment £33,000
Who does that.
Shiny car syndrome is very tempting but if you're a normal guy with a normal job running a car like that will cripple you

Shared house is temporary whilst I'm selling a house I part own in London.
Servicing pack gives you 5 years servicing for 700 quid. Road tax is cheaper than current car, so is fuel.
I was planning on getting a c63 once new flat is sorted - this is by far the cheaper option to run.

Could you actually get a GT3 through this? What with how limited and hard to obtain the GT models can be..
I think you'll find BOTB have pretty good relationships with individual dealers for each Marque. They will have bought a significant number of new cars from Porsche.TonyTony said:
People saying they would take the cash because of depreciation but if you take the cash you get -20% of the RRP anyway.
This. Taking the cash alternative makes no sense at all unless you really need cash immediately.Any car on the website will be worth far more after a year than the cash alternative.
