Noted. biggrin

I've only got it on ebay, gumtree and bmw5 forum. Read a lot of comments lately about folk not looking at autotrader that much now (also a complete rip off) and the classifieds here.

Tried to gauge it off other cars but they seem to be the sort of thing that can linger a while until the right buyer comes along. Trouble is, even with no real rush to sell I find once my mind is set on it I just want it gone.
If it's not even advertised on here then you'll get short shrift linking to it; it is not even allowed to link to your own PH advert in the forums.

I suspect you have now done enough to alert anyone sufficiently interested in a "ruinous" M5. biggrin

I found a car for you, Moo. I didn't post immediately because I've been thinking about a test drive myself. This has got to be involving Shirley...

For reasons I'm not entirely sure of, I've just returned home from acquiring this:

Just in time to miss their last race of the season (the 24 hour, this weekend).

However, I will say this: it's the right kind of ridiculous. No time today to do more than pick it up and take it for a couple of laps of the yard, and the E28 race car is in front of it in the queue of things needing attention, but other than a transponder and some tyres, this seems ready to race.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go sit in the corner and definitely not think about what I've done.
thumbup Approved.

scratchchin I can see Team Thread being formed for the 24 hour next year ... drivingbiggrin

What is the M124578560=-2149=-3021=3m 4C named after? silly

The name's former prefix 'MP4' has been the chassis designation for all McLaren Formula 1 cars since 1981. 'MP4' stands for McLaren Project 4 as a result of the merger between Ron Dennis' Project 4 organisation with McLaren. The '12' refers to McLaren's internal Vehicle Performance Index through which it rates key performance criteria both for competitors and for its own cars. The criteria combine power, weight, emissions, and aerodynamic efficiency. The coalition of all these values delivers an overall performance index that has been used as a benchmark throughout the car's development. The 'C' refers to Carbon, highlighting the application of carbon fibre technology to the future range of McLaren sports cars.

MP4-12C shares its name with the MP4/12 Formula 1 car that raced in the 1997 season. This car featured a second brake pedal discovered by photographers to counter understeer on the exit of the corners by selecting the inside rear wheel, similar to the computer controlled "brake steer" system of the MP4-12C.

I like that, possibly too much. hehe

I'm trying to tell myself I don't need another green Lotus, yet alone another K Series powered car. smile

We took it to the Isle Of Man a few years ago. JC took his RS2 and Cateringtin, Dazren his 911 Turbo and DeR his tweaked 911 Turbo. Sure they were all quicker on the straights but the corners were so much fun in the Elise it didn't matter. I still have tinnitus from DeR's turbo overtaking me biggrin

On a happier note, I'm just back from 3 days volunteering at Goodwood Revival (I volunteered as a buggy driver, and spent half the weekend ferrying lovely people around, and the other half enjoying the revival). Some of my photos below
19th year at The Revival for me (yes, that's all of them!) and as always spent all 3 days down there and wouldn't miss it for the world. That yellow Lister Knobbly above is my friends Dad's old car thumbup
