I like the lamborghini seats

To me the bits that hold the head rests make it look like they are girls dancing with their arms in the air.
It might just be me that sees this though.

LOL! I've never noticed that, and won't be able to look at the seats again without thinking it hehe

WRT the RX8 it's rear fog is rotary shaped too, cool.

It's a motif that appears throughout the car, the gear knob is the same shape too..

And the centre console bit has the shape of it on it.

I like the things that aren't immediately obvious until you actually pay attention to it.

Robot BJ seats, pmsl!

RX8 Fog light, cheers, knew there was another Rotary detail on it somewhere but couldnt find it looking at google images just now.

The RX8 is so fussy, typical Jap car really. Shame as it has some really cool elements to it but just doesnt quite work overall IMO.

There's also a rotor shaped piece in the bottom of the front bumper, and the bonnet has a sort of rotor shape pressed into it too - If you look at the wheels on the R3, the spokes form rotor shapes

That's a crap detail though.. The very fact that you can see the floor through that outlet is ridiculous..

Unless of course your tongue was in your cheek as you clicked submit.. wink

The big problem with those (along with similar on many other cars) is that you can see some apologetic pipe giving it the old Turtle's Head every now & again. Totally ruins it IMHO.

Although I've never owned one. I love how the Rev counter on the Suzuki Swift Sport goes round so much. Sort of resembles a rev counter you get on a motorbike.

Quite a few naff details in that - the exhaust that isn't, the plasti-chrome trim around it, the fake 'mesh' and the silly fake 'splitter' shape.

Ahh, yes, that's the word I was looking for.

Step forward Ford, with the Focus Zetec S 'diffuser'. Really, on a 1.6TDCI?

I honestly didn't notice that when I saved the pic, I thought the triangle part was the actual tailpipe until you pointed it out.

The vent slashes on the Chim and the gorgeous curves...this is probably my favourite photo of may car.

Love it when the engine is up to temp and you can see the heat waves coming out of the bonnet slashes smile

Well, someone has to post it:

The way the Alfa 156 centre console is angled towards the driver - passengers can't see any of the dials, or the dash dials.

Crazy Alfa 75 handbrake:

(Copied by others, such as Vauxhall, recently - but they got it wrong, putting the button on the outside of the hoop)

Continuing the aircraft theme, there were also the electric window switches in the roof console - but I can't find any photos of that.

The number of rotary shapes in the design drove me nuts when the RX8 came out - went over the car at a show pointing them out and getting more and more annoyed about it!

ETA: My new favourite detail is the new 7 series magnetic door hinges. No fixed points where the door will stay open, you just push it to where you want it, and the hinge holds it there.
