Just taken delivery of a Qashqai 1.6 Visia, £230 per month inc Vat for 36 months with zero deposit. Cracking car so far (albeit a bit underpowered).
where is that from?

is the visia decent enough specwise?

It's from Toomey Eurolease, from contracthireandleasing website. In terms of spec, it's not too bad with remote locking, aircon, CD, Bluetooth, 4 electric windows, metallic paint, alloys and, er, that's it. Does the job for me though. The only things it lacks are that it could do with parking sensors (difficult to see out of rear) and privacy glass for the little un.

There are some better deals out there but you have to be a director or have a company car allowance. We chose not to stretch to an N-Tec (which comes with the kitchen sink), sometimes I wish I had.

There were cheaper deals published on the web, but when I enquired they said that the criteria from the finance company who backed these particular ones was that the applicant must either be a director of a limited company or in receipt of a company car allowance. This was a little frustrating as they were published as personal deals, however in reality they were pretty much business user deals with the Vat added on.

As I am a sole trader of a start up co I didn't meet these criteria so had to pay a little more to go with another finance co.

thanks for that.

so as a director was it still a personal deal, or would have to go down as a company car (and therefore taxable as BIK?)

I've just been offered a manual Merc C180 BluEff SE in Obsidian black 10k miles 3+35 non-maint for £239.99 a month from www.ultracar.co.uk if that's any good for you?
Sorry for the silly question but what does the 3+35 mean?

Cheers

No, I don't think so. So it's not a deposit. paperbag

Advance Payment then.
