RE: PH Carpool: De Tomaso Pantera GT5S

The 351M400 6.6 Litre Windsor engine is significantly different from the 351 Cleveland, not merely the same engine built in a different factory and certainly not a derivative of it. Neither of them was ever cast in aluminium, but the Windsor engine employs thinwall casting technology and is hence lighter, but significantly less rigid, than the Cleveland engine.

Fabulous. Love pantera's. My favourite was the earlier GT5 with the more obvious bolt on arches but the '5s' is lovely also.
Always used to go to the Detomaso and Lamborghini owners club days at Castle combe in the late 80's and 90', (sorely missed). I remember quite a few cars from that time such as the mean modified dark blue car of Chris Statham and the club secretary Phil Stebbings's Red Gt5. Anybody else remember these meetings ?
Take a look at this website for lots of great Pantera stuff
