Some of the new (old) Technic stuff has gone bonkers in price. I always purchase two sets, one to build and display, the other to keep as an asset. The Ferrari Enzo & 599 are worth silly money now compared to the £80 to buy when they were in the lego shop 3-4 years ago.

Needs some mods. A four pot isn't doing it for me. Buy another engine block and mount them in a V.
Now I am getting ideas again... thinking about the classic Lego 8860 with it's flat four. How cool would it be to make it into a Porsche 912...
Won't fit. I have tried the V12 from the enzo model Now I am getting ideas again... thinking about the classic Lego 8860 with it's flat four. How cool would it be to make it into a Porsche 912...
Yes!! I got one too - I haven't had such a big smile on my face, every Christmas is now going to involve Lego again, just like the old days!
Oh and Dan, you're not alone. I'm at the same stage in the build as you and have put the rear diff in backwards too, and only your comment made me realise it. I was sitting there turning the wheels and wondering why front and rear were going in opposite directions... Luckily not too difficult to fix at this stage!
