I think that's a good buy but I don't really like the wheels.
They appear to be TSW aftermarket alloys, I won't bother changing them, and I am not sure what the originals should be...but I have discovered that the wheel brace doesn't fit them ( I was checking for the dreaded locking wheel nuts)

Coolest exterior door handles ever.
Correct, that was an added bonus. They are almost as cool as Citroen DS rear indicators !

Ok, friend of mine, bought his in 1996, when I got my Mk 6 RS 2000. My Ford went along time ago, but the Barchetta lives on. Nice in yellow, no real problems other than the variable valve gear, replaced twice, I think.

He loves it, and it still looks good. Got to be a nice little motor for that price, good job.

Well, I had/have a 7 and Elise, and it didn't drive as well as them, obviously. But......I also drove the Z3/MGF/MX5/MR2, and, regardless of the RWD vs FWD bks, that gets talked on here, that the majority of posters, wouldn't have a clue about, the Barchetta was just as good a car to drive, and with the leather, was the nicest place to be, if you could cope with the LHD. For the vanities, it drew the most attention, which, lets face it, is the main priority for most drivers of the above mentioned cars.

nono LHD only. Unless your post was a really bad joke.
I assure you it was right hand drive. It was an R Reg i think, and similar to British racing Green. I believe it was converted when it was brand new.

Not this one, but an example :

What do we think (I'm not easily upset, so be honest)

Hope that the link works. Had an MX5, well a Miata. we have a Cappuccino, which is great but a tad small, would love an XK8 cab, but had an XJ-S cab ... and too thirsty to use, so this seems worth a punt ?

Don't mind LHD at all, had a few LHD cars....might be worth a few quid more in summer, in the men time I own a leather flying jacket and a woolly hat.

Just checked train fares (train line.com) , about £30 to pick it up, so result there, as option B was LPG range rover (£90 in fuel plus trailer hire).
If you squint and look at the numberplate from a distance you could almost read it as PIGGY PC. Perhaps you could ask in SP&L if any of our resident boys in blue would like a personalised plate! wink

Hmm, Half a WHOLE Bottle of wine, you sir will die of liver disease beofre the year is out, it must be true the governemnt said so, no more than three units of alcohol for a man per YEAR, for women, merely inhaling the smell of a pub will kill them within minutes, one of the first symptoms of binge drinking is buying old Fiats on Ebay, there is a very strong link between buying a Fiat under the inflence and then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy as you drink more to come to terms with it as I found out with a Coupe Turbo with Oil consumption issues.

Its a slippery slippery slope before you are actually driving Fiats, we bought an old 500 as well, about 2007 and have only just got out of rehab, Amy Winehouse had a cache of 200 Fiats of various descriptions dotted round london, including three Marea HGT's and the really hard stuff like Mirafiori's, 132s and X19's.

I mean, your car's first three letters are "Bar", should be a clue.

Seriously though, like it, special little cars !

Good man thumbup

I love wine induced ebay purchases. I am forbidden, and have indeed forbidden myself from it.

Most amusing things ......

An E34 M5 nuts

A vajazzling kit.. biggrin Must admit had an amusing reaction from Mrs rather than percieved rage, good result too I must add. bounce

My finest hour.....t'other half (same of vajazzle incident) wanted some stockings as normal stuff doesn't fit her loooooooooong legs.

Bought 5 pairs for £11, bargain I thought. Until I realised I had bought them from 'lynns tv clothing' whilst investigating further realised that the pictures of stockings contained a chaps legs. banghead

So now my feedback shows a bloody vajazzling kit and blokes stockings.

In all, a barchetta is nothing. Good show sir.

biggrin

Nice. A friend had a RHD one of these from new. Cost an absolute fortune and was very odd as the dash kind of faced the passenger.
I quite fancied an orange car that DTR had recently refurbed [i am saddled with a silly Ford though]

The RHD conversions are generally very poor and best avoided.

£1200 for OPs car sounds a right bargain [time will tell]smile
