+1

The oversize wheels make it look a bit cartoonish but other than that its lovely (like the original).

Ok to look at, but totally impractical in real life. Bit pointless..

Click the link and read all about it... Boxster based 904 replica
That's gorgeous!

I suggested a Boxter based 904 replica would be nice on PH a couple of years ago - just waiting for the manufacturer to get in touch to show their gratitude now!

The wheels are not that far out.
Except they are not standard Porsche 904 wheels; they look like American after-market alloys (Empi?). This is what Porsche 904 wheels look like:-

Not only am I a huge fan of the modern machinery/classic clothing model eg the Bader Racing Karmann Ghia:

...but I am massively into that "shape" of vehicle - Porsche 904 / Chevron B8 / Dino 246.

I therefore have a conundrum. How the hell can I get this in my life? My new favourite thing, ever.

There have been a couple of 904 replicas available for a few years now inlcuding this one in the UK. Last price shown was £45,000 + VAT, less engine and gear box, compared to the American one at £60,000 plus a Boxster donor car.

This by a Texas-based Tuner Gullwing America. I must say I don't like prosche as rule. Put better the owners of 911 after about 1980 (eariler owners are car nuts). All think they a driving god! Just because the have not crash, yet!
