Ours..

Took 2 weeks of abuse from 5 lads round europe last year. 2.5 transit engine, painfully slow but gets the job done.

nice, that would do for weekends away smile
think after being in a few tour buses, if i won the lottery, i'd buy a double decker setra, and have the inside custom built like a tour bus, minus the 14 crew bunks, you'd have alot of extra space.

I could be tempted by something like this...

...and this *looks* comfortable enough.

However, I think it is beyond legal length for UK roads which is just as well if they tend to suffer from damp and leaks.yuck

Call that a motorhome...? THIS is a motorhome - http://www.andersonmobileestates.com/gallery.php (check out some of the others on this site, too!)
Seriously, one day I will own an RV.

I like that idea. Upstairs downstairs - maid and butler upstairs, natch! biggrin

Just bought a new VW California 4motion which is sort of a motorhome that can be parked in a supermarket!
So far so very good. It has an amazingly small turning circle too!

If it's for a race transporter consider getting a 7.5 ton lorry. There's a horsebox builder round here that will do a complete body and conversion for about 12K (plus base) or if you start with a luton you can do it yourself for a fraction of that.

My girlfriend and I are too poor to get a proper vw bus and we didn't want a van with a mattress. We were sitting in traffi and a taxi flew past in a taxi lane and light bulbs switched on over both our heads.

From there coco was born!

We drove to Turkey and back a couple of years ago.

We then planned in driving to new Zealand to break the Guinness record for longest taxi fare but some chaps from brum have beaten us to it! Grrr.

The full story is here

Hi Hybrids,

Always liked the American stuff, but not the bigger class "A"

Did you buy it here or was it a "self import"

It was already here, imported in 2006.
It a similar size to some of the bigger Euro motorhomes (27ft), big enough to fit all our gear and have sufficent capacity to tow trailer and race gear.
It has a fixed double island bed, double in the over cab (coffin) and diner area turns into double.

Parts are cheap enough from Rock Auto and quickly delivered too.
