That's not my logic, that's the OPs logic. and since he was talking about spending £6k, it's not that much of a kick in the balls even if it loses half its value in the time he owns it. TTs and Z4s won't hit rock bottom any time soon.
A £6k TT or Z4 has a lot less to lose than his current car. A corvette will lose £1k every year in insurance payments alone... and that's before you stick any fuel in it or put tyres on it.
There's a reason not many people drive Corvettes in this country - they are a pretty poor ownership prospect for us Brits.
This is what i'm thinking, i want to get rid of the A3 while it still has a reasonable value, and get a nice comfortable, reliable, fun sports car which won't depreciate too much. As you say, even if i spend £6k and sell it for £3k in 2 or 3 years time its not a massive pill to swallow, is it? A £6k TT or Z4 has a lot less to lose than his current car. A corvette will lose £1k every year in insurance payments alone... and that's before you stick any fuel in it or put tyres on it.

If i keep the A3 i'll probably loose around £6k over the same period, and not have as much fun with it...

Wonderful array of miss-facts and self delusions. Well done A £6k TT or Z4 has a lot less to lose than his current car. A corvette will lose £1k every year in insurance payments alone... and that's before you stick any fuel in it or put tyres on it.

Go on... There's no point in arguing for the sake of it. The OP doesn't want the cars you have suggested, and yet you still try and hammer the point home even when you can't provide a cohesive argument in your favour. You just say I'm wrong even when the OP plainly agrees with me and not you.
I sometimes wonder if you act a just because people might die of shock if you didn't.
