That is chuffing lovely, well done! It's evolved into a genuinely beautiful car, in and out.

And.. 40mpg?! Is that a definite, brim-to-brim figure? Insane.. I love BMW for things like this biggrin
That's over 1,000 miles of having fun. My journey back from collecting it sitting (mostly) at the speed limit gave 52...
With those 20" wheels it'll probably cost almost as much per mile in rubber as it does in diesel!

This thread has made my day! Thanks Edo, it looks absolutely fantastic!

I pick mine up tomorrow morning at 10 AM, 640d M Sport in Carbon Black, ivory leather, standard spec with some modest options (DAB, Telephone USB, BMW Apps and wood trim). I only have the poverty spec 19's though, couldn't justify the £1100 extra for 20"s.

Can't wait and will post up some comparison pics.....

Is yours Carbon or Sapphire?
Cool... Mine was already built - I probably wouldnt have put the 20's on it if I had been specing it. It is Black Sapphire I believe.

Enjoy the collection tomorrow!

Not seeing the attraction myself. confused Doesn't do anything for me but then I thought the previous 6 series was dog ugly too. This has the lines of the previous 3 series coupe, but with an ugly back end and headlights nicked from an S2000. Other than the oversized and bland wheels, it doesn't look sporty at all so I'm somewhat puzzled by the alleged M Sport tag. And £68k? You serious?! Just wow...

But so long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters.. spin

i don't normally like bimmers, i find the exterior at best awkward at worse ugly and i really dislike the interiors with there giant faux metal strip ...

but that car is stunning inside and out i really want one smile

not sure on the engine thou, the V6 audi TDi i have atm is bloody hopeless, 70% of the time you press the throttle and nothing happens, and half the time that it does shoot off you don't bloody want it too frown

Totally agree, I was not a fan of the old car but they appear to have shed a lot of bulk from the body on this one, looks way better

That's a stunning car. I love the styling of this generation. Really didn't get the look of the previous gen at all.

According to my calculations, this car is approximately 378 times better looking than the previous iteration. Very nice indeed. I saw a white one a little while back and it looked lovely, and I normally hate Recession White.

That leasing price is seriously tempting! Do you have to take whatever spec they have or can you have a car built to order under it? Car looks great, OP.

Love it.

If we didn't need to swap to a family car, a 640d (on the lease deal!!) would be replacing my current 650. Brilliant GT cars. Will miss mine when it's gone.

I just took a car that was built because I didnt want to wait. You can spec any car you like, but I'm hearing people who ordered recently arent getting cars till July now...

If anyone wants the details of the sales guy I dealt with, please drop me a message. Top fella.

Lovely car and good to see the standard BMW haters have left this thread well alone(ish), IMO a much nicer looking car than the previous 6.

Although being a BMW fan I have never really like the newish 6 series, the styling of back end has never done it for me however I have seen a couple of the new ones and I think they look much much better.
Filling three times every journey would do my head in also so I see your point op.

The front end was ugly on the last one, the back was ok.

They seem to have made both the front and the back ugly on this one.

I've never been a fan of it, in any form. I just dont get it.
.
I have to agree,
The front more ugly than the rear.

What happened to the BMW stylists, have they been shot?

Surly BMW didn't style this front end?
