Hmm, tricky. Like a 5-series but cheaper, but would prefer something better than a 1-series.

If only BMW would fill this gap in their range.
If only there were perfectly good, not too expensive, well equipped yet brisk cars around that werent German.

A bit large I should think. And the one I sat in smelt slightly of sick and charged me a tenner to go not very far.

What's wrong with German?

Although Lexus do all that stuff too, if that fits in with your nationality bias.

Actually I'm struggling to think of any car that is bad, too expensive, poorly equiped and slow, so the Venn diagram of all cars must throw up quite a bit of choice.

That's what we need for these "what car?" threads - a good Venn diagram. Or the OP to just buy the car they want without involving hundreds of people who don't care enough to be helpful, and aren't given enough information to really help if they did care.

I dont have a nationality bias, just sometimes I seem to have logged onto "BMW Driver Weekly" rather than Pistonheads.

The two sites are almost indistinguishable. I blame two decades of advertising as the ultimate driving machine - lots of people have been brainwashed, I bought three of the damn things myself.

There are antidotes for that you know. Many people have been successfully rehabilitated as well,
