Well you are obviously not alone, just have a YouTube search for "bug out", there are bags, vehicles etc should the world end tomorrow.
I completely understand this. I will be disappointed if I die without having lived through some form of catastrophe that involves caravans and/or motorhomes for survival.Well you are obviously not alone, just have a YouTube search for "bug out", there are bags, vehicles etc should the world end tomorrow.
Axes, bows and arrows and large hunting knives too.
I can spend literally hours finding vehicles for surviving the zombie apocalypse, it's defeinitely a guy thing... I've even planned out escape routes and locations that are zombie proof or proofable.. I really need to get out more or stop driving around the countryside alone with my thoughts.
The land Cruiser is pretty awesome, I'd not want the canvas sides to the top bit though..

I know the ad says different, but they're BFG AT tyres. MTs are mud terrains.
Cool truck, although I'm not convinced about using an LC as a camper as there's not much load space left once you've got the kitchen sink etc fitted. Although you'll need fewer tools and spares than a Landie

There's a website out there somewhere (I can't for the life of me remember what it is) that's entirely dedicated to zombie apocalypse survival. Not sure if there's vehicles on there, but there's definately all kinds of design for accomodation, etc. that people have coem up with. The land Cruiser is pretty awesome, I'd not want the canvas sides to the top bit though..

Nice of you to volunteer to stay behind while the rest of us make good our escape in Land Cruisers, very honourable of you and your sacrifice won't be forgotten should this post-apocalyptic scenario actually happen.Riggers, I think you've just just scraped the dirt of a massive seam of hidden EOW fetishism here in the PH community. Wonder what dot-joining a psychologist might do...
Anyway - my stash - hidden under my virtual mattress (well in a favourites folder called 'TVR repair stuff' to keep the missus off the scent)

I think you're leaving yourself vulnerable to zombie/mutant bandit attack through the canvas tent sides. If you get baddies that can climb then they'll easily get in that way.
I'd agree. These people are fooling themselves.
Drunk chavs looking for a free kebab could easily infiltrate this 'expedition' vehicle! Just imagine what a hoard of flesh craving undead could do.
If they were serious, they'd have fitted rocket and grenade launchers, gun hatches and automated maching gun turrets
(Great vehicle and something you'd love to have parked in the barn just for the hell of it!)
Awesome, but only in Africa, or the Apocolypse.

Anyone want to join me?? haha
I've always liked the idea of those Mitsubishi Delicas, the 4x4 people carrier, I'm sure the reality isnt quite so positive though.
Second series of the walking dead has had me thinking about zombie apocalypse transport, efficiency is a big concern and I'm unlikely to find a mine clearing tank anywhere in the north east of england. A securicor van or similar would be handy, armoured cab, de-restricted, not too bad on fuel I'd guess...
