He seems to be driving it like its a computer game. Balls out and assuming the AI drivers know the circuit.

Bit too much red mist from the Clio driver on a clearly busy track.

Back off and give some space, pointless pursuing lap times and getting angry if the track is that busy and the car in front is clearly still learning. Life's too short, etc..

Clio driver is a knob.

Its a public road which anyone can use (argue the merits of that elsewhere) but he makes no concessions for varying experience or ability, whilst being a shouty know-it-all bellend in the process. The longer you watch, the more of the same you see from him. Someone should send the youtube user a link to this thread. I tried but it seems I cant put a link in the comments.

Clown shoes. Tenner says it's the OP in the passenger seat. hehe

As mad as I am to stand up and be counted, I am the Clio driver. I'm in absolute agreement that I was in the wrong, I questioned it at the time and with the benefit of hindsight I should sat back waited for him to pull over and then got past at a later and safer point. He (or she) didn't appear to know the lines and/or weren't very confident about their ability or the car, I should have spotted that and given room. I was in the wrong and did try and find the driver in the car park later to apologise, its a Tourist Lap not a race ;-). In other news a VXR8 is a Holden ...

End of thread. Good for you for coming on to give your side. To be fair, in the comments below the video you did already suggest you were in the wrong, so not a complete knob at all.

+1

As commented previously, that Mini wasn't half shifting! That 200 (Cup Car, by the look of it) ~4 mins in was going for it as well!

There's another video vs Focus RS in his channel, here the same thing,Focus should let him past cause was extremely slowing his down on the corners, just gained on the straights, and the Clio tried to take him from the right which is not allowed, you are allowed to pass only from the left in the Ring, its not a race, but as i said the Focus should let him past in the first place.

Slightly off topic but am I the only one who can't stand watching these type of vids with no heel and toeing? Just ruins it for me with no blip on the downshifts.

But fair play for coming in and giving your side of the story mate!

Blimey someone that admits openly they were in the wrong on the internet.

Good work, now thet's not make this into a 30 page slanging match, the geeza has admitted and knows it was wrong.

Agreed, if you look at the video without understanding the context, it looks like the Focus driver is to slow and won't pull over, whereas i'm in the chasing car and am clearly getting way to close to a complete stranger who could do anything. However ...

The context is : this is roughly the 10th lap we had done together, the Focus driver is one of my best friends and the 2 laps we got on video were possibly the most fun I have ever had on track, we agreed that he should drive on the line and that I would chase and not overtake ...

Well done for standing up & being counted, at least your daft driving didn't cause an accident.

Could have been worse, you didn't come across as quite as big a cretin as your passenger.
