3-5k estate needed, with lots of space - help?

I would go for a Mercedes W124 E Class estate. Solid cars, simple mechanics so easy to work on and can be sold for the price you bought it when finished. Just look out for rust, apart from that, they are pretty much bullet proof. Put the back seats down and they will take a wardrobe !

£5k will get you a Mondeo Mk4 2.0 TDCi 140, very spacious indeed and IMO very nice looking as an estate.

I figured this would be well out of budget. Blimey, depreciation rocks.

As an ex Honda Accord owner Id say go for the Mondeo at that price!
