At 18k I'd place an order today please Mr Toyota
I guess it's a supply and demand thing. They know the car will be well received in the uk. And know they can charge 25k for it and still flog every RHD one they can make.Would everybody be so kind as to not buy one for 6 months. Then they may deflate the price a little. Ta.

Try 40000 euro here in Ireland!!
The only one I have seen for sale so far(I live in cork) was closer to 45000!!!slevin911 said:
I have never looked into it myself but I would imagine the VRT would be A good few thousand.I have seen A few bikes up for sale here that have come over from England. You could pay nearly 500 euro on VRT for A bike thats only maybe 4 years old,so I would imagine it being very high on A brand new car. Also I am pretty sure that if you have extras like electric windows etc it costs even more so the cheapest way to bring A car over from England is if it is bog spec.
I believe it's up to a third of open market selling price in Ireland depend on the emissions. Plenty of hassle sorting it all out too... I think 40000 is the base price with no options according to the brochure I received... Probably more cost effective to bring in a scionExpensive for what it is but it's ok in comparison to other brand new cars here. Rather a cheap rx8. Plenty left over for any issues!

To be honest I cant see many selling here now I could be very wrong but I just do not see it here myself.I reckon in A years time they will be after dropping A few grand and will be A bargain.Have you seen any on the road?
I've seen one in dark blue driven on back road not far from Dublin airport. I know the looks are controversial but I loved it and was like a child telling everyone about my first sighting. I agree. They probably won't sell well here... There's no diesel version you see I'll just wait for the flood of imports from Japan as we do for any decent car

Everything is a rip-off in the UK.
Have you compared the list price of a Corvette here with what you'd pay in the USA?
Have you compared the price of a Lotus or any German car in the UK compared to the US? The US is such a rip-off. Have you compared the list price of a Corvette here with what you'd pay in the USA?
You sure? Porsche USA lists a Boxster S at $60,900 which using the first currency calculator I found is £38,471. Porsche uk lists it as £45,384, bargain!
