Is it worth seeking an auto electrician? Or is it worth pestering Mazda more? Thanks.
I would.
Maybe there's a small drain, or maybe a new battery is required?

Don't knock it. This type of reasoning has let me experience lots of different cars in a relatively short period of time. hehe
I own old land rovers - if I sold one everytime I had a flat battery I'd be on a new one a week! biggrin

Why am I a moron?
Some of us have brown eyes, some of us have black hair, some are big, some are sporty, and some of us are morons.

It's just the way the good lord made us.

Nightmare having a flat battery, if you can get through life with only having to deal with that you will have done well.

Its probably either a loose connection, knackered battery or alternator problem.

Reminds me of a story I read about a woman who called out the RAC because she couldn't get into her car (again due to a flat battery).

When the guy turned up he put the key in the door, turned and opened the door wink

So far, it looks like a combination of things. A knackered battery and an interior light left on by my OH. smile

The battery didn't have a chance. Maybe that was why the alarm had started playing up a bit.

I will say at this point that ive been thinking of selling the car for a while now anyway. This forum (especially the barge threads) has opened my eyes to bargistas. I am hankering for something large and in order to get there, the Japanese hatchback will need to go. smile

Kudos for doing a hissy fit properly. hehe
It was good, wasn't it.

Get back to car after holiday and flights (hate flying), go to car, it's dead. It just pissed me off, a lot. Yes others have more serious car issues. But this was my car issue.

Can't understand the moron comments. However, PH is on a steady decline into a retarded land of stupidity, so don't know why I'm surprised. smile

So your OH leaves a light on and you blame and change the car, maybe you should just trade in the OH? smile
With your hankering for something large I'm sure you'll get plenty of choice.

Let me explain. I've been thinking of selling it for a while. Then you get the moment when it plays up. As this happens you hate the thing and want to smack it with a tree branch (as shown above). I made this thread as I was in mid hissy fit. I wanted it gone and still do. I didn't know the interior light was on at the time.

I won't be trading the OH in as she is actually fking gorgeous and has lovely boobs. We all make mistakes at times smile

She offered to pay for the new battery, but I refused to let her.
