Maybe other people are thinking the chap in the Mustang taking the designated family space thinks the world revolves around him.
;-)
not at all I would have gladly moved if a sane person asked me to, being screamed at and told I'm disgusting doesn't strike me as normal. ;-)
Once tooled up to my local 24h Asda mega behemoth store at a bit before 6am to run in and grab supplies for a long run down to mid wales, as the car park was virtually empty and no mother and child spaces were in use, i parked in one and jumped out.
Now the sign that they have erected clearly states that if there is no child seat visible in your car that they may fine you...as it happens i don't have kids, but as i carry my nieces and nephews about i do usually have at least one sprog seat in, and i did on this occasion, so i was fully compliant with there signage and rules.
A rat faced parking Hilter accosted me at the door of the shop in a very threatening manner and ordered me to move my car straight away, even though there was non-one in the car park and instructed me that it was "illegal" for me to park in a M&C space! Absolute nonsense, he then followed me back to my car and ordered me to show him the child seat! I think some people just need something to do at work!

next time I'll park in the back and walk further to avoid the woman that believe the world revolves around them. however I never park in disabled spaces that's a no no.
As a parent I would consider it far more acceptable for you to park in a disabled space. Why? Well try getting a toddler out of a car seat in the back of a car jammed into a standard normal space without twisting your back. Not easy. Disabled spaces though are fair game because there are bloody 100s of them in car parks that are always sodding empty. You'll rarely find a spare parent and child space though.

Your post seems to suggest that you think the world revolves around you.
your reading a little too much into it perhaps, I am not suggesting I wasn't in the wrong I wanted to know if others get attacked by people for doing this. I don't believe the world revolves around me, far from it. I take it on the chin yes I shouldn't park there without a child, but I don't think it was necessary for her to be quite so abusive and scream. if she had spoken to me with a normal manner I would have listenedgt500nick said:

My mum managed alright, of course these were the days when Parent and Child spaces were merely ideas in the minds of science fiction writers but still.......Disabled spaces though are fair game because there are bloody 100s of them in car parks that are always sodding empty. You'll rarely find a spare parent and child space though.
