RE: BMW 4 Series - official

A very beautiful car! However, I'm not sure I like the new shape of the angel eyes. In my opinion, they were the one aspect of design that was unique to the Bavarians, it looks a bit like the led lights that Audi use, may just be be though lol.
But a beautiful car otherwise, shame the iconic M3 will now only be a saloon...sigh

Really, does this matter even a tiny bit? I managed to quite like the Ferrari 430 when it was renamed the 458 on its replacement. I think I will like or dislike the M Division version of this coupe regardless of the boot badge if they call it the M4. I really will. Honest. But a beautiful car otherwise, shame the iconic M3 badge will now only be seen on the bootlid of the saloon...sigh

Big improvement over the old one in terms of looks.
Not keen on the idea of 8cm wider than the E92 though - that felt uncomfortably wide to me.
It isn't 8cm wider than an E92 - that would be perverse! However it is wider (around 4cm), which is still annoying - I'd have preferred a narrower car for our narrow roads, having said that the wider track is likely to have a positive effect on handling and it's still not too wide to enjoy on the road (like an Aventador would be for example). Not keen on the idea of 8cm wider than the E92 though - that felt uncomfortably wide to me.

Let's not go off topic though...it's a beautiful car!
They've lost the plot-Big Fat Ugly German seeks more money from punters, just had expensive cosmetic surgery, from industrial experts. Now bigger wider, dearer oh and german character, all brown inside like grannies sofa, revisit your childhood NOW only 20% dearer (figures supplied by FSA)

i'm amazed they've called it a 4 series, i really, really am. i'd be more amazed if the M3 name will be restricted to the saloon only.

Big Fat Ugly German seeks buyers with more money than sense. Just had expensive cosmetic surgery with botox plumped up rear end fit for rumpy pumpy, lower rear end has new messi look, lots of brown leather, from grannies sofa to charm you and is for very wide roads and boys. Buy one soon in your neighbourhood next to the sofa shop liebling.

(The M3 badge) has been around for over 20 years...

And for more than half of those 20 odd years BMW have been debating at a very senior level the merits of branding the coupe version of the 3 series saloon a 4 series.i'm amazed they've called it a 4 series, i really, really am. i'd be more amazed if the M3 name will be restricted to the saloon only.
Personally I'm amazed evidence points to so much conservatism over all those years (and into today).
I expect both of us will need to get used to further amazement.
