Cosworth & Rolls Royce - 2 iconic names in engineering.

Fantastic news and excuse me while I surf a wave of nationalistic pride for a moment

(Yes, I know they're not strictly British any more!)

Taken with a British camera. There is no such thing as British or any other country, we are all reliant on each other.

Cannot wait to see the flying lady on the nose of the blood hound...

Finally RR have joined the party after all these years of free advertising, yes a bit cynical but I hope they are pumping in money and expertise.

Good luck to all involved witht he project.

This is wonderful news for the project, and, for Britain....

It's slightly disconcerting to have "good news" and "Britain"in the same article!

I worked at the pyestock gas turbine test facility during the late 90's when we were running development/prototype EJ200s in the test cell. Amazing place to work. I'll be following bloodhound closely, feel i played my small part in the development of the EJ200.
I did a small amount of work with the testing of the blisk as an apprentice

its great news

I was just wondering how the engineers were picked for this project as its an amazing project to be part of
Surely the guy behind the rocket on Bloodhound was picked on the strength of his moustache alone!.

I've been keeping a close eye on the whole project, it's absolutely outstanding and makes me feel proud to be British.
rofl

I might actually join the club to keep up to date, plus it helps to support the project
Top lip warmer of the first order that man. I can see him (in my mind) addressing everyone as 'chaps' & says 'spiffing' a lot, probably. I hope he doesn't drive a 'Swiftmobile' though, a car for a cad wink

Quick update whilst I have literally 2 seconds.

All of the upper chassis metallic ribs are in, and I'm please to say, fit first time.......(otherwise I'd probably have been looking for a new job as there's some pretty expensive parts there!!!) biggrin
