Here you go. £395

Run this until the MOT/TAX expires (march). Enjoy the toys & heated seats over the winter. Then sell the gearknob and steering wheel to make your money back.

Evening,

So I am going to SORN my Supra for the winter, I dont fancy 300rwhp with ancient traction control in the snow/grit etc!

I am on a tight budget at present, but need a winter car for an 80 mile week that has tax and test until around March.

Is this possible? Only seem to be finding items not fit for road use really!
I went out earlier in 2c and torrential rain with 300 BHP and some of the nastiest ditchfinders known to man and it was fine, watch the big clock in the middle and the lever under your right foot, suppose it depends where you are as to how much snow you get but really, for most its a few days when the side roads are covered.

yes Smooth inputs and not being a tit go a long way. Get some winter tyres for extra safety margin and enjoy your car year round.

During the last bout of snow we had, I drove through the village and encountered a Range Rover driver who thought he was invincible doing a moronic speed "cos I got 4x4 initt" but he was snaking along the road on the verge of losing control. There was no way he'd have stopped if he needed to.

I can understand those wanting a winter shed; there are so many other dick heads about that they put any other cars at risk.

My 1 owner 70k R reg Citrien ZX 1.4 was £400 with 9 months MOT and 3 months tax. Did 8k trouble free winter snottering miles in it, and it passed its next MOT without needing anything. (sold it needing tyres (much back road hoonage), and the exhaust fell off which was sort of my fault as I bodged it without looking at the root cause, would have been £45 for a new centre section...)

Think I gave it an oil change, checked the coolant once and washed it when I couldnt see out of the windows.

Regret selling it really, was a great little car, and nice to not give a st about it. The central locking didn't always work when very cold, I just left it unlocked! When it heavily snowed I drove about without fear of coing unstuck, infact I nearly got stuck coming up a hill from work, so just aimed for the grass verge and gained traction that way. The bushes didn't scratch the paint either...

Could get a focus with tax and test on for £400 without too many issues, have been tempted myself for the missus but she always wants to keep her car when I show her them..

Bargain. I have one coming my way soon (a 2002 1.6 Club with more miles than that) and I expected to get more for it!
