Like it. Ugly and angular but wrong colour and what are they thinking with those wheels?

Shame about the power output but it's not exactly hard to get more out of these things, plus this is the WRX, not the WRX STI...

Anyway, stick it in blue with some gold wheels and a big wing and it'll do just fine. 320bhp should do nicely and hopefully if the Yen plays ball we'll have the hot one in the UK for under £30k.

The photos do it no favours. Did someone from PH take those? Not good.

Personally I like it a lot, pity its not a hatch. I also appreciate the sensibly sized wheels - more sidewall for a better ride and cheap to replace tyres - but don't like the black.

Hey, I was first!

The good photos confirm it's not a looker. So what redeeming features does it have, who is it aimed at? Struggling to see the point.

Well, rear 3/4 view doesn't look too bad....mind you it just looks so right in the oversteer dirt track pic,so reckon there's some hope (plus let's wait for the big wing, full fat STi version to appear...)

I quite like that, has potential - picture an STI version with wing, slightly wider track and flared guards etc. Nice that they haven't used 20" wheels with rubber bands for tyres like so many others these days. The design of those wheels is pretty awful though.

I had to look them both up. I get your point, and second the question.

I think it looks more like a Volvo front. The rest is a bit boring.

It looks incredibly lard-arsed.
Like Kerry Katona after a two-week french fries holiday...

Looks like a bag of sh*t to me.

WRX - £19,995
STI - £22,995

Otherwise just stick to JDM.

Looks bloody awful. Do we know who designed it? I think he lost his pencil and used his finger.

CRAP!!! They should have just stuck to the concept model. This just looks a joke.
They wont sell much. For it to sell it had to stand out like the concept. With it looking like this it would only sell to die hard Subaru fan boys; certainly wont tempt others to go buy one.

Nobody buys Subarus for their looks judge... it's performance per dollar(or whateversmile) that holds the key.

Someone mentiined the 135i? Over here they START at USD 39,300, and it's right on up from there, and Audi is just as bandit bad. I expect the WRX will start alittle higher than it's current $25,675. Add on 9.6% in my location so's you don't think we yanks get off tax-free.
Yes that's >>>35%<<< less. And try to negotiate with a BMW or Audi dealer... Ha! rolleyes It is to laugh!!!

Sadly only Hyundai has found it fairly easy to make good looking cars that don't cost the house... but I will not give up my all-wheel-drive!

Looks too "euro" which usually translates as bland. This case is no exception. It needs some warty and slightly ungainly imperfections to stay true to it's lineage and not try blending in so much.
