With that budget i would suggest a Z4 3.0i,it's roughly as economical as the Focus, has a bulletproof engine and very sensibly priced mechanicals.

Only thing to watch for is the roof motor but at that age it's probably been done already.

Some people complain about the ride but if you put it on Eibach springs i foubd it steered very well and had adequate comfort.

Heated sports seats are a must have option.

Get a s2000 be as quick as the porshe with a more fun experience . Very reliable . I getting rid of mine now only because I need 4 seats

My best friend has one, albeit not as a daily, but it really is a great option. If you can get one specced with Nappa leather, the journey will be comfortable as well as fun. Think he paid just over £7k from a dealer in the height of the summer, imagine it'd be cheaper to buy one at this time of year.

Mine was my daily and it was superb at the job, got me everywhere (on winters as was up north) and that engine is just gorgeous. smile
