it increases the odds that one of the previous owners did not look after it.

The more owners, the higher the chance one of them was a tight git.

Just makes it less attractive come resale...if you are running it into the ground, no worries...simples.

Bit like number of partners your other half has had. Less is better.

Reminds me of how BMW in Greece used to sell their used cars. (Google it, possibly not safe for work if your work policy's strict!)

When i bought my Focus ST i was looking at Impreza STI's and had my heart set on one in particular around 200 miles away from me. Seller had answered everything i asked , car looked a minter, decent mileage and i had arranged travelling to pick it up when i done an HPI check that showed i would have been the 13th owner eek on (at the time) an 8 year old car.

Seller seemed a bit surprised when i asked him why so many owners. Didnt really have an answer so i pulled out. Car might have been great but when people are getting rid after an average of 8 months id rather not take the risk.

I sell Motorhomes,I sold a 2 year old 2000 mile van a few years back to its 6th owner.

Nothing wrong with the van bless it,Motorhomers just change often........and 2 previous owners had died!
