Sorry I'm new to this, but what denotes a PAYG number and why should that put you off?

Surely if one has £25k plus to spend one just buys a "straight" car ? There are tons of great cars for this sort of money. I wouldn't spend twenty five grand on a cat D unicorn !

It would have been a keeper to use as an everyday car including pulling the horse box and the lad's Moto X bikes not something for resale value hence buying a CAT D for 15k below list was appealing to run into the ground over the years.

Would you seriously part with £24k of your hard earned to someone who advertises a Cat d car with no landline?

Its "summat" else that hardly instils confidence....

It's not 24k.

It's an auction. So I suppose that the Autotrader ad won't sell.

Other than that, deciding either way whether to buy a car or not based on how well written an advert is, seems a bit dumb to me.

The one time I got stung in these matters, the people who did it were very smart and polished indeed.

You don't need an A level English Language to buy cars from salvage auctions and sell them on ebay, but I agree it doesn't really help make this look like something worth sinking £25,000 into. Don't even think about it until you have gone and seen it in the metal with someone who knows their stuff, and done a full background check and made sure the chassis numbers and everything else all match up.
