Someone drives at 75 on the motorway and starts a thread about someone else passing at 80. I hope this doesn't become a trend.

I do feel sorry for all the peeps that have had one for a year.

With the £250 per month lease deals selling like hot cakes, there will be load of these in poverty spec colours suddenly on the road in April.

It's good for BMW in selling loads of 1 series shells, but bad for private owners, who will want to sell in two years.

Let's just hope they don't turn into another red xr3i
Depreciation is not a problem if you pay cash,or so I'm led to believe.
Leasing/PCP's are for mugs who own their own homes,or so I'm led to believe.

Where is he anyway?
He seems to have gone quiet after his last thread crashed and burned wink

Gawd almighty. I've never known a thread to need so many Whoosh parrots. We're going to have to import a complete flock of the bloody things.

RIP irony and sarcasm within these walls!

Driven a new one (L494)? They go round corners better than lots and lots of cars with a far lower CoG.

I'ts finished.

There are only 6 colours available (one Solid) and the cost of metallic paint per month was about £3 so I doubt it will make much difference!

Am I the only person in Britain who doesn't think the 1 Series is ugly, especially in higher-spec guise?

Yes. I've checked with the other 67,928,302 people and they all say you are the only one.

He did. The crazy fool rang me at 3am. :-)

Not generally a fan of the 1 series, although I suspect a 123d may be a great commuter.

It's not just you or the 1 Series it's the entire range. Seems to have all started getting ugly with the original 1 Series hatchback.

I passed a guy today doing 30 mph. I was doing 35 but left them for dead! Don't think they knew what happened either as I was pulling away from them 5 mph faster in the 1.2 Steptronic Corsa. This was in a 40 zone locally. I should maybe get some M badges for the car just to let people know there's extra power available to me anytime I like when I'm driving at 35 in a 40 zone!
