RE: Headrestmount: Review
Discussion
As said, the price is just ridiculous!
Hague mount I use on trackdays is fantastic, and less than half the price!

I don't have any pics of it to hand, but I made the same thing about 10 years ago, for the same reason.
If I say 2 pieces of slotted angle iron, bolted together with the headrest poles between, the longer one with the camera bolted to it, you should get the picture. Due to having a shed full of junk, cost = £0.00
Mine was trackday certified as well

I just use one of these:

Not only does it securely mount to the headrest, it can also be mounted in 1001 other places:

Tow hook:

Windblocker:

rear-view mirror:

etc...
Much more versatile, and a fraction of the cost!

I was suprised there aren't more of these things around. I needed one a few months ago but found them pretty extortionate - got my brother to make one with a couple of bits of wood:
Used it once so far but was pretty stable:

Overall cost - £2
Funny, I've made one nearly identical to that but used U-bolts instead of splitting the wood in two. Used it once so far but was pretty stable:

I've got one of these, got it off eBay for £7. It's my second one and got my first for about £15. Hague mount I use on trackdays is fantastic, and less than half the price!

Have to mount it on the back seats as it won't mount to my Recaros, sadly.
Surely nobody cares what it looks like as long as it does the job and remains safe?
I expect that these are in place for a tiny % of the cars life and interior looks are therefore irrelevant to nearly all track-dayers... Whereas cost has complete relevance and could be more tyres, servicing etc.
It's all about the VFM, therein lies the problem with this mount.

But than some people will always flash the cash rather than using their own hands/skills/abilities. I pity them, but usually refrain from insults.
