An unusually mean write-up for a nice car.

This may be the first article ever not to mention that the doors are standard Ford Fiesta - which was, and still is, a stroke of genius in the Small Volume Manufacturers world. I remember a comment by a Lotus engineer in a documentary about the Elise (they had originally wanted to have no doors), he said something like, "It's easier to design an engine from scratch that design doors".

Also, is there a single car designer with a more prolific number of designs out there than Ivor Walklett?

Top shedding. I would.

Saw this last week and was pretty tempted, Ideal home for a Duratec and ITB's!

I wouldn't buy the car, but this is a good SOTW article! Welcome return to form since last week!

Proper interesting shed. If I hadn't just bought a mk1 MR2 to play with I might well have been on my way to have a look at this.

I'm meant to be looking at E39 M5's but this is curiously appealing.

If you were to respray it - which colour would be best? A bright red? Or a blistering yellow?

Wrap that in the modern orange Ginetta paint job, and I'd quite like that.

I'd paint it with what was popular when its donor was new: Sierra Beige.

Wow, what a car! I'd spray it metallic bronze in keeping for the era.

I saw something similar driving in Aldershot yesterday, white V reg kit car, 2 doors, looked like a rear engined 2 seat version of this thing (did Ginetta do a 2 seater around 1980?) or maybe it was a Clan Clover I saw.
Yes, it was a G32. Like this one

I want to hate it, the smell of wet fibreglass, mmm.

However, with a little bit of work I think it could be quite good fun, probably quite a similar driving experience to an Early Escort RS2000.

Thanks, that's what I saw, must say it looked nice, a lot nicer than this SOTW which is a bit out of proportion, the G32 looks like a proper sports car.

It is an interesting, novel looking car. I don't think I would want to own one, but I would certainly enjoy seeing one out and about. A well written article and a good shed of the week.

The guy selling the SOTW has a blue G32 that you can see in the background of one of the photo's in the advert. Mid engined IIRC?

Better than last week. At least it has sporting pretensions.

I think I'd prefer a clean Capri or Manta if one could be found for Shed money.

Good shed, at least it's interesting. Not for me though - too much spannering required!

Brilliant shed... If you are looking to divorce pitching up with this could well be the straw to break the camels back! Perhaps tony should invest himself?

I've always wanted a Ginetta, these are curiously attractive.
My MK1 Escort had a Zetec with ITBs and a Ginetta cover

A G32 has just been listed on a popular internet auction website.

ETA: Doh, just seen wingnuts post above.
