RE: Lamborghini Murcielago: PH Heroes
Discussion
I once borrowed one of these for a week. Two things happened:
- Firstly, the anti-stall software decided that tick-over should be about 4000 RPM, on Park Lane in London. It was, shall we say, attention grabbing, but not in a good way.
- Secondly, when I was taking it back to its home round the M25 I was flashed at by the entire lady's Hockey Team from, judging by the minibus, not the pulled up shirts, which were in the circumstances illegible, Surrey University.
It did make me laugh out loud on a number of occasions, when I wasn't squirming with embarrassment.

Great story, fabulous car, delicious wheels and a beautiful shape. I would settle for washing and polishing one and then being a passenger. However I reserve the right to buy one when the fates plonk the money into my bank, in which case I will be running to the nearest dealer or one for sale on good old Pistonheads. I gave it 9.
I recall doing the factory tour some years ago and seeing the Gallardos on their nice automated Audi labelled production line. We then walked around the corner to find the Murcialagos (and a Reventon)still being lovingly hand built by Coke swigging trainer wearing Italian men and women.
Says it all in many respects really.
670SV in orange please.
/V12s still make my winky twitch

I love the Murcielago, what a car. Seeing an Aventador on the road, of which I've seen several, isn't half the event for me that seeing a Murcielago is.
Like some here, I also prefer the early ones, with their 1980s-esque styling.
Oh yes.
Yes. Also puts me in mind of early pre-aero Countach. Lovely shape.Like some here, I also prefer the early ones, with their 1980s-esque styling.
Oh yes.
"Deano" wouldn't per chance be Dean Evans would it?
Seen here in this rather popular onboard video from Bathurst.

I much prefer the look of the LP640 over the early cars, and from all accounts it's a significantly better car too. Can't quite get my head around the colour of the car in the article though, I sort of like it but then I sort of don't
Either way, I think the Aventador is the best car on the planet right now, but then I'm biased as a life long Lambo fan.

Think I would be going for that. Something just so so cool about itLike some here, I also prefer the early ones, with their 1980s-esque styling.

Great story. I really must pop my Murcielago or Diablo cherry at some point soon. Completely agree about the Gallardo not being a PH Hero. As exceptionally competent as a Gallardo is I found driving one incredibly dull. It’s so usable there is zero excitement attached to being in a Gallardo.
A Murci or Diablo I’m hoping would set the adrenaline pumping and me giggling like a fool on the initial fire up of the engine.
Heads off to classifieds to dream a little....
