Fantastic! Doesn't look like a proper GT3 car versus, say, the Z4 though. How has it done so far?

I simply do not get the sexualisation of cars. They're just cars!
Just as a car design can be influenced by a culture, such as American or European, a car can have a masculine of feminine cues.

A normal Camaro is pretty darn masculine, this one is so butch it should be called El Macho.

The GT3 regulations must be extremely tricky to balance. For example, the Mclaren GT3 is around 500PS but less weight...against 650PS with a bit more in this thing! The balance must be all over the place per circuit.

Oh and the new 650S GT3 is a looker:

Yep, the car owner is a client at work and just had it imported from Reiter a month or two back. Great bit of kit by the sound of it.

Whether its the exact car in the video or another the same colour I don't know, but the timeframe is about right for when he was over there testing it.

Well that looks cool cool.

Isn't 82 BHP per litre a bit low though for a race car? Unless regulations are limiting it of course.
Well, you have to think this way. With over 1200kg of weight, they need around 650bhp to compete in GT3 races . Then, they will face the choices of having a big displacement engine that's low rev and huge amount of torque, or a small displacement engine which might produce the same amount of bhp but at much higher rev with much less torque. I think I would always choose a big displacement engine which will probably be slightly more reliable, too.

Except, for all the blood and thunder, it's power/weight ratio is very good but hardly class leading.

That's why i asked whether it was competitive. It looks fantastic, but like a car built in someone's shed compared to the McLaren posted.

Those Gm Chevrolet boys seem to know a thing or two about winning at Le Mans. So I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.

Expect the Halo car to have a bat st mad version after the Camaro version sells out.
You don't build a GT3 car to lose smile

I presume the C7 'Vettes that race currently are in the class above (GT2?)?

Whatever happened to the old GT1 class anyway?
