I've not had many comments like that about my MX5, mostly people seem to like it. One guy in work said something and I did reply that maybe one day I can own something as manly as his Corsa, maybe I should have bought my mums of her when she got rid of it for being too slow and st. He didn't like that.

I used to get the odd comment about a hairdresser car with the Elise, now I've just purchased an SLK...

I presume that the hairdresser comments are going to become a far more frequent occurrence frown

I normally just smile and get back to being a contractor on site (rule number 1 - take it on the chin and think of your day rate).

Fortunately (and somewhat bizarrely), someone else in the office will pipe up with "Yeah, but your's isn't a a hairdressers car, it's a M isn't it?"

Truth is, if I actually gave a monkeys what someone thought about the car I chose to buy and drive, I'd have to have a serious word with myself.

Because sometime one should let the Paroles have what they desire.

I just agree with them, the mx5 doesn't have the best image. I love it however!

Pretty much this really. Just tell them you're very macho, very manly and are very comfortable with your masculinity.

And you'll shag anyone who disagrees.
