Speeding doesn't kill puppies, it kills cats

How about not letting your bird killing pond destroying menace wander around in the road?
As you may be able to tell I don't like cat's. However, I would never wish harm on them, in fact quite the opposite, I think people should be responsible for them like every other domesticated animal and keep them off the roads.

It's not that I disagree with a single word you've written, but I was helping a poster with ideas for a cat relocation based solution to a crapping issue, and the thread got moved into homes & gardens, where my post became inappropriate for their standards, leading to a 30 day ban Oops
I would say a cat is more aware and more spritely than a 5-10 year old child. I fking hate kids, but even I think they shouldn't be run over by speeding motorists. So really it's a valid argument overall.
FWIW my two cats are very well trained around cars. They've grown up around cars being all over the drive and in the garden and they seem to have sussed to stay out of the road and away from a car with a running engine. They also only crap in my back garden.

I hate it when football fans st on mine. Seriously, I live near a football ground and people park all round the estate where I live and use it as a toilet after the match. I think football should be banned personally. How sure are you it's cats in your case?
I agree, but I am quite sure the football fans sg in you area would be fined if caught, same as a dog owner if they let their dog st without picking it up.However I have never heard of the cat owners who let their 'pet' roam free; not seeming to care where they st being fined.
Especially the repeat offending Siamese thing that frequents my neighbourhood.

Does that really happen? If so, that's terrible.
I cannot believe this is a real thing, it has to be an early April fools surely?
Seriously though a 30mph speed limit will not save a cat, as one found out to its cost last year when it went bang, thump, thump.
Schemes like this do nothing other than reducing the credibility of road safety awareness, cat owners should appreciate that if they want their animals to be able to roam freely then they have to deal with exactly the same dangers as any other wild animal. A mate of mine lives near a busy NSL dual carriage way so he keeps his cat indoors, resulting in the cat not being run over.

I say run em all over! I have an area of bark chippings in my front garden which seems to be the designated st house for all the local cats. It's Not easy to see as cat st is a similar colour to to the bark and sometimes they even go to the trouble of covering it. The stink, particularly in the summer can be quite unpleasant!
If you don't want your cat to get killed then don't let it out and maybe we won't have to put up with cat st everywhere as a bonus.

Careful what you say on here about cats, a load of us got reported and banned from the homes+garden section for making tongue in cheek comments about the evil things . . .
You too? The PH Gestapo gave me an end of month ban for some humourous imagination on that thread; and me, a true cat and dog lover. The PH Gestapo need to learn some realism and to be able to differentiate between intelligently put innocent humour and offensive bad manners. Nedzilla said:
