I see there's three Manual V10+'s in the classifieds at the moment too.
Like buses, there's not been one for sale for ages, and three come along all at once
That would make an excellent buy as the V10+ is a big advance over the 'standard' V10

At a near 30k premium though!

Yup, I do like them a lot. I'm genuinely not sure if I'd choose this or the default 911 (I've not spent much time in either).

But I applaud any modern sports car that uses an open metal gate manual 'box - that would be a huge plus for me.. hehe

Yeah, it's definitely pricier, but then it's 5years newer and a fraction of the mileage of the silver car
The positive with the older cars is that I can't see them depreciating much further

The noise alone that this engine makes is enough reason to buy one I,d go for the full pose and have the open top .

My daughter's BF's dad ahowed up in a R8 V10 convertible outside our house. It was stunning and we felt compelled to take pictures and pose in it. Somehow it's not as ostentatious as a Lambo but has the same presence. Not for me but the OH liked it!

It's a super thing, but aren't R8's getting on for half that, while still having more performance than you could ever use on a public road ? Well a UK public road anyway !

Is that some kind of 'let me remove the outer glass of my rear lights to make them look different' deal?

I was torn between a V8 Vantage or R8. Styling wise for different reasons they ticked the boxes, performance then the R8 just had it, inside and this is where it became a little seperated whilst the inside of a R8 is well put together it seemed a bit too much like a "normal" Audi. Then speaking to those that had both a R8 and Vantage they said the R8 starts to loose its "specialness" after a bit. I ended up with a 4.7 Vantage but a V10 anything does sound good!

That engine sounds sensational and the manual gearbox combo just makes it sublime!

I doubt these will go any cheaper?

No, decent v8's are closer to £45k

So glad this thread didnt turn into a 'is it a supercar' thread. This, the p1 and an f12 are my dream cars.

In my opinion, anyone who doesnt think this a supercar is either very rich, very poor, or very stupid.

Really like the idea of a manual R8 - supposedly as practical as a 911 but you don't see nearly as many!
Only the third Audi I have ever wanted to own - the first was the original Audi 100 but I didn't have a licence back then, the next was the original Quattro but the R8 is just right in so many ways.
Off to buy a Euromillions ticket for Friday!

Nowhere near as practical sadly, it's front boot can't be more than half the size of the 997's and the rear space is only suitable for the custom luccage they make for it. It really is only suitable for a weekend away or maybe a week at an absolute push if you pack carefully, and of course you can never transport more that one passenger of any age
