Same car. Same crack in rear diffuser.

Good job removing the tat, shame he got greedy and clocked it. Would have made money just by removing the stuck on nonsense.

That's a bit ambitious. Surely the condition would give away that it was clocked if it had really done 155000 miles? Worn seats/carpets, steering wheel surface etc?
Good amount of wear on the wheel if you look at the close ups, Clocked to fk redface
Steering wheel not always a reliable indicator. I have a 40,000 mile '05 Fiesta outside, owned from new so I know the mileage is genuine but the steering wheel surface is rough and worn due to age, not mileage.

The number of leased cars that are returned with clocked mileages must be frightening. What else do leasing firms expect though when they are offering contracts with only 5000 miles per annum? Who does 5000 a year? Who can physically sit at home not driving a brand new golf R for example that's costing them 300 a month plus 2500 upfront?... It's ridiculous.

I only live 10 miles from work and I have really struggled to stick to my 8000 mile budget on my first lease. Had to hammer the Mrs car a few times now.

That is easily the worst case of clocking I've ever seen, a tired old SOM car being clocked back to a "nearly new" runabout that's only been to work and back!

If he gets away with that then it says a LOT about Fiesta quality!

Also, if I was that instructor I'd be kicking myself for taking such gash photos of my car and consequently getting poor money for it. I can't think of a worse way to lower the value of the car than taking the pics with the SOM livery still on it!

Yet my 120k mile Fiesta has little to no wear. smile
Leather wheel hides wear a lot lot better than the polyurethane(?) wheels in some Fiestas.

It certainly looks like cu14 wyf is clocked to me

CU14WYF, the Ford Fiesta Zetec S, probably isn't worth buying

When buying a newish vehicle, I look at the Reg, find the local corresponding dealer and phone to ask about service history. They often have more detailed history than the book and can search across the dealer network to find out who's serviced or recalled it at what mileage.

Given the availability of MOT data, this is something that could only be achieved on newer cars, unless there is a whole range of people involved over many years?

Is it just me, or does the number plate not exist on the MOT history site?

It isn't old enough to have required an MOT yet, is it?

That's some mileage in a little Fiesta in 2 1/2 years.

Did ebay remove his advert, or did the seller as he knew he was rumbled?

So just to reiterate, CU14WYF, the Ford Fiesta in black with a registration of CU14 WYF, was clocked from 155k to about 16k. I hope the potential new owner of the black Ford Fiesta with a reg of CU14WYF/CU14 WYF finds out before they buy it.

I saw the eBay advert had disappeared. Clocked to 16k? That is just insanity.

I had a mate when I was a student who used to buy and sell cars as a bit of a hobby. He always used to clock them. He bought a low mileage Mk3 Cortina and drove it for about 18 months. He then decided to move it on, so went through the usual process of removing the odometer to clock it, only to find a sticker on the back of it saying "Oh no, not again".

If he'd taken the ad down I think it would simply show the ad but state the item was no longer available, this looks like the item has been removed by eBay.
