A nice original Land Cruiser: http://lendasvivas.pt/index.php/component/rdautos/...
That sort of cash would buy a very nice Land Rover Series II, which would hold its value very well.Not that you would know it from reading this article though! Seems to have been the product of 15 minutes looking at some old classified ads with a few clichés thrown in for good measure. It is almost entirely lacking in any actual information.

I was in Reigate yesterday (a relatively urban town in Surrey) and spotted this. I am not usually a massive fan of these kinds of vehicles especially when the underside looks like it has never left clean tarmac, but this Spectre edition looked bad ass!
We stood watching an incapable driver mount the kerb in his Zafira and then he wrecked 2 of his wheels scraping them along the kerb, this guy turned up and parked perfectly and the Zafira driver had the cheek to comment saying "not sure why that gets all the attention" I was so tempted to say at least there is no risk of him kerbing those rims.like you did!
Seemingly stopping production of these has done their values the world of good.

Or a Shogun with the super reliable electric/vacuum run super select 4wd. I was always petrified of engaging my low range/difflocks as I was never sure they could be disengaged again after use.
Thats is generally caused by not using it ! The old saying, use it or lose it. Equally true for diff locks, regular use keeps them in good order and stops them sticking.I really have to ask, but where exactly has Piston Heads managed to dig up this nugget of total bulst with regards to the 2.2 Defender???

some enthusiasts reckon it's actually too powerful for the Defender, making it less controllable
I mean WTF.... have you actually looked at the power output of the 2.2 and compared to say the 2.4 the Td5 or even a Tdi, let alone a 1980's 3.5 V8You have an error on your Wrangler article:
You also don't mention the 3.8 V6, that while rarer than the 3.6 was available in the UK in limited numbers.
I would also suggest your are little out with your pricing for all Jeeps. They are generally more costly than the article suggest and you are highly unlikely to find a JK at £10k, cheapest one on ebay is just under £11k and there is a choice of 1 only at that price.

Notably, the TJ brought the first diesel Wrangler to be available in the UK. The 200hp 2.8-litre unit is rather noisy, but provides a decent amount of grunt, and it's probably the engine of choice if you're on a budget or looking for an easy buy.
That should be JK not TJ. And they weren't 200hp (well 197hp) until the 2011 face lift, earlier models where approx 170hp.You also don't mention the 3.8 V6, that while rarer than the 3.6 was available in the UK in limited numbers.

Maybe it's just me, but I always take it as -
4x4 = off-road vehicle
4wd = road car
Sorry but that's just wrong and somewhat American... the number of 4x4 vs 4wd/AWD vids on YouTube by Americans is comical trying to explain just this.4x4 = off-road vehicle
4wd = road car
A Subaru Impreza for instance uses exactly the same type of 4wd system as a Range Rover does.
While a Freelander uses the same type as a VW Golf does, which are different to the Impreza/RR types.
At best it's a 'marketing' thing. But really has no bearing on the type of vehicle.

Ah but if you read it the way I did, it says some "enthusiasts" have said it is too powerful. Piston Heads said:
