I ,probably like most ,had to look up your Northern start point.

I didn't think it would be quite so far north of Norway ,I was thinking just off the coast.......nono

Reading this brief article made me extremely happy. Top bloke! I wish him many an attractive German backpacker for company on this noble quest. This should be made into a film, starring Sean Bean.
Why Sean Bean? Are you expecting him to die?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. We're now near Gothenburg, Sweden, with 1,400 miles under our belts already. Slightly tired right now...

In case anyone was wondering, this moderately daft undertaking has made it to the Arctic, and should be at the northernmost pub in a few day's time...

Thanks, will do!

We're currently on Svalbard, 800 miles from the North Pole, en-route for the northernmost bar: https://pub2pubexpedition.com/track/

We'll be back in road trip mode when we return to the cars in mainland Norway, in a few days...

Hey folks!

In the fairly likely event that having read the PH news feature on the trip, you were wondering what the northernmost bar in the world looks like, wonder no more, for here is a photo album:

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=995343...

In other news, 3,000 miles down so far, and both cars are loving it. Currently en-route back south after hitting up the northernmost pub 2 days ago...

So it turns out the highway to Hell is beautifully tarmaced, but has an irritatingly low speed limit, automatic tolls and an intimidating number of speed cameras... pretty apt really.

We're currently in southern Norway, having left the world's northernmost bar, 700 miles from the North Pole, on Monday.

3,500 miles down so far, about another 16,500 still to go to journey's end in Patagonia. Both cars are defying the naysayers by running absolutely beautifully. Life on the road is good...

I knew that Hell existed in Norway as it's the venue for their World RX round........nerd

Never been there though ,that boat has sailed.

Keep it up Ben.....bowthumbup

Cheers guys. Nearly 4,000 miles in, and I'm mightily impressed by the TVR so far. Even on days like today, which have been all about wind, rain, and gnarly Norwegian mountain roads...

Despite reading through the other trips, and buying the African book, I totally missed this until it was reported on R4 this morning, and now on their webby:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-4305676...

Great idea and looks like it was great fun. I *really* need to work on my next trip.
