It's all new. I don't think there is a single carry over part except for perhaps the SoE. The purpose is to refine the design, like Porsche have done for generations with the 911.

I can't imagine the presence this would have on the road, will we know technical figures later on? I'd like to know if it's longer/wider than the phantom 7, it certainly looks bigger !

Sorry to have to say this but it looks ugly and cartoon like.

No doubt it is a wonderful thing and I'm hardly the target customer but this makes a Camargue look pretty.

Not that I'll ever have the money to be in a place to complain about it, but I never liked how low the centre console looked in the Phantom. Glad they haven't tried to go wild with a redesign, they know they have a winner and just made it better.

Not that they care what I think but they missed a trick still having a dedicated keyhole under the door handles. It also looks cluttered on the side profile with the repeater, badge and rear reflector. The rear towing eye cover also looks a bit weird in the photos. I'd have been tempted to put the side badge centrally within that panel and closer to the body line.

Apart from that, I think it looks fantastic!

Well, they fixed the incredibly awkward nose. That's good.
Another piece mentioned all the heated panels it has, and my first thought was that in addition to the claimed 300lbs of sound damping material, there's easily 300lbs of wiring loom if you include the heating elements.
I suspect that will lead to a curb weight that will keep you off a few bridges on your personal golf course that you might have had no trouble crossing with your Bristol.

There's something reminiscent of a grand piano with this car. Beautiful craftsmanship and a credit to those who design and build these things. Not for my garage, regardless of wallet, but I'm glad they exist.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, lose the digital dash, the current dials looks better IMO. And I'm very surprised the AC/heating is laid out as it is, I'd have thought one temperature control would be all that was required with fan speeds, etc. all automatic.

Other than that, looks brilliant. Would love to be in a position to even just get a drive in one, never mind buy it.

Bmw have built a factory/assembly plant from nothing. Bentley may sell more cars but what a cracking job bmw have done.

There's a bit more to it than that.

VW went to Vickers to buy Bentley and RR, completely unaware that Vickers didn't own the RR name as it was leased from the real Rolls-Royce that makes aircraft engines.

RR refused to let VW buy the name, so they ended up with an ancient factory and Bentley.

At this time RR was in a joint venture with BMW making jet engines in Berlin (BRR). RR offered BMW the name, who accepted and then used the money to purchase BMW out of the venture and renamed it RRD.

Absolutely love it. Vulgar? Yes. But it's great! Love how they've kept the massive grille to distinguish from the "lesser" models (can you have a "lesser" Rolls Royce!?). Sounds like they've pushed the boat out on making it extremely refined.

What a magnificent motor car. It is ostentatious and the scope for making it bespoke is other worldly compared to other manufacturers. I know it is now catering more for the Middle and Far Eastern markets, but I still stop and stare every time I see a Rolls Royce on the road. If I had the opportunity to purchase one I would. It would be simple and elegant compared to a lot of the limited edition variants you see, but it would be incredible.
