Those looks are... erm... challenging to the eyes.

The original A110 was a thing of beauty.

Have they gone for a mid-engine this time? The A110 & A610 were rear-engined weren't they.

It might be an absolute peach to drive but it looks like a Hyundai had a baby with a Mercedes CLA.

Retro meets modern and the date does not go too well. Looks like an old 70s bathroom fitted in a modern house.
If anything I'd say the A110 hasn't aged well and the new one looks way better. Certainly nice to see something different.

Starting around £50k. Still a chunk of change but ten grand less than I had heard. Quicker to sixty than the Cayman S.

Can't post a link but all on Auto express.
Poor decision regarding pricing and product position, IMO. Too bad, as its pretty desirable otherwise.

I think it's brilliantly positioned from a price/weight/versatility point of view.
Very usable as a daily for normal size people yet probably very good on track too.

Not "in the flesh", IMHO. To my eyes, it looks spot on.

Yes, at least it isn't based on a VW Golf. Or made from plastic.

Thread needs an image....

I think the Cayman S, TTRS, 4C, Alpine sector is THE best 'new' car spot.
Personally I'd stick with a manual NA high revving thing...
But if I HAD to buy something new/modern, THIS is the market sector I love.

One day I will.... it won't be the Audi... actually putting hard earned down on the other three would be a REALLY hard choice...

Overpriced, not that light, not that Fast, a badge 99% of people have never heard of, and looks like a £20k kit car. Ahm oot.

Is it really bespoke? What are the production numbers going to look like?

Waiting to see the £20k kit car that looks like this or as good as this....
and who cares how many people have 'heard of the badge'?....
fair enough though... enjoy the car that everyone's heard of...

Shame none of this is actually true.

4.5s to Sixty not that fast. Name a car that's quicker for less money.

Elise Sport 220. smile

Perhaps not directly comparable cars, though. The Alpine is a lot heavier and presumably more usable.

For a car that has been designed on a bespoke chassis (it is aluminium and not based on any of the current Renault models, unlike the original Alpine, which was initially based on a 4CV), is mid-engined, quicker and lighter than a Cayman, and looks a million dollars (at least to these eyes), this is stunningly good value. Shame I can't afford one...

Agreed. I'm very envious of those who will be taking delivery.

Probably the most desirable car at that price point.

Fair enough. More of a track car than the Alpine I guess. There can't be many others.

Saw one at Goodwood. It looks fantastic in the flesh.

I4 Turbo was guaranteed in today's climate.
