Every time a new BMW is released it kicks off a frothing rant on here about the styling.
Each time I have but one word to respond, China.

Doesnt mean this car isnt aimed squarely at the non UK market.

It will sell here, but not in the numbers it will sell elsewhere.

Would I need planning permission to park that thing on my driveway, or would it be allowed under permitted development? The arms race continues....

China doesn't really have a middle class, it's haves and have-nots.
Most of the haves are new money that this sort of styling appeals to.
Subtlety is not a word that these people are familiar with.

What were the last mainstream cars designed with the UK as the primary target market?
The Maestro and Montego?
The Viva?
