I live in London. I hate black cabs for one simple reason and it isn't the whopping charges. It's this. Every TX4 or lesser model I've ridden in has the same flaw. Ride quality that would have been unacceptable in a normal car for over 30 years is deemed acceptable in a brand new taxi. Honestly, the only vehicle I've driven that compares is a Defender and we all know that harsh ride seems far more forgiving if you have the wheel in your hands. The back seat of one of these things is slightly less comfortable than riding a bath tub down a mountainside.
Anyway, I bet they haven't even fixed the suspension on this, have they.

Have they ever made anything tasteful? Bradford, over the top tat that a gypsy bride would call 'a little much' or white with black wheels, take your pick.

As tasteless as Kahn is, I am rather in awe at their business model. I just wish I had thought of chaving up tat and flogging it to Arab playboys and Russian Maffia. Assuming this thing was a build to order they are laughing all the way to Bradford and bingly to bank their dodgy foreign bank notes

Just out of interest....

Is it possible to buy a standard TX black cab as a private punter for family use etc?

Of course you can. You need to remove the ‘for hire’ bits and pieces though.

I compared Kahnt to German purveyor of high-priced tat to the Middle-eastern playboy and Russian mafia: Mansory.

Erm, it seems Kahnt have taken themselves one step closer to the automotive equivalent of asking Kate Moss to kit herself out at Sports Direct.

Look what he's done to this Aston Martin http://www.kahnautomobiles.com/availableDetail.php... Jeez it's hideous.

He's still got some way to go before he can match the master of expensively-ruined supercars, Mansory - here's a real humdinger from their website, the MANSORY Bugatti Vivere Diamond Edition, because everyone knows that the one thing a Bugatti Veyron needs is diamonds. Quote: "When luxury has no limits, MANSORY is in its element......"

How many words could you swap for 'limits' in that last sentence?

Offending car here: http://www.mansory.com/en/range-cars/mansory-bugat... Have sick bucket nearby.

I understand the Chelsea Tractor Company, er, sorry, Chelsea Truck Company is part of the Kahnt empire. Both they and Mansory sell all sorts of lifestyle tat - you can buy your very own Chelsea Truck Company watch!

It’s not great, however I have seen the Mansory Dawn in black with the crushed diamond bonnet at the Geneva show in 2017, and it is extremely striking and beautifully finished. I was expecting it to be dreadful but somehow it wasn’t.

I actually like the most of the Kahn Aston the front is slightly off but the colour choice on the one above doesn't help:

Given how much better the new hybrid taxi apparently is ( https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/behind... ), I really can't see any appeal in a jolting, jouncing, shuddering, smelly old one, even with a leather seat inside and a shiny coat of paint.

for that kind of money they could have dropped in a nice bmw straight 6 diesel and some air suspension.

now that would have been appealing

this is a glorified vajazzled piece of tat

It's nice to see a PH thread united for a change. Kudos Kahn, your laughable cars for Asian drug gangs and Russian mafia members have stopped the fighting for a day.

LOL! If you’re looking at the taxi in those movies you’re definitely doing it wrong!
