RE: Dodge Challenger set for electrification
Discussion
the recipe to me seems simple.
replace heavy panels with lighter materials (bonnet, doors, glass?) Put a nice sounding but economical V8 in and then give it some big electric balls to up the power 2-300hp and you've got a lovely looking, lovely sounding, goes like stink and brings your fleet co/2 right down ?

That could be faked, just like a lot of cars do now with engine sounds piped in through the speakers.
Faked ?? I don't think you've driven a muscle car. Certainly not a 6 litre plus V8.Whenever you get into a big V8 and turn the key you feel it as much as you hear it. On idle there is a deep rumbling that feels quite ominous. I suppose they could strap 300 iPhones to it and set them to vibrate when the ignition is turned. Maybe it could do a Tweet too? #musclecar-to-asda YOLO!
