Doesn't look half too bad. They lost me at twin turbo V6 though.
Did you feel the same about the Jaguar XJ220?
er, probably not the best comparison to use, given that the sales volume of the 220 plummeted when it was announced it wasn't going to have a V12.......

Not true at all. You're using this to further your argument but are either ill-informed or mis-remembering. There were around 1500 enquiries and intentions to purchase for XJ220 which were then whittled down to the selected few who were able to place a non-refundable deposit. However, when the full specification was announced (no 4WD, No V12) depositors were given the option to release their deposit as there were still hundreds of other potential buyers waiting for a space. While a few may have done, the total run was sold out after the spec announcement and before production began. However, what you are remembering is that the speculation bubble burst and THEN many customers realised that the car would not be an appreciating asset.

As they had been offered the chance to get out earlier, they did not have any chance of a refund and JaguarSport gave them the chance to pay a substantial release payment in addition to the deposit to NOT take delivery. Ultimately JaguarSport did not complete the full production run and some people lost money by not accepting a car but not taking the extreme hit if they had taken delivery. Jaguar certainly did not loose any of the initial limited series production run based upon a V6 engine other than those people who were swiftly replaced by other depositors.

ZZZZZ

Would rather have my old 2004 CSL than any of these unusable 'super/hyper' garage queens...

Where are the interesting cars these days?

Not keen on the Werther’s Original-coloured steering wheel, mind;
The steering wheel reminds me slightly of an Austin Allegro steering wheel from my childhood hehe

Wow, what a negative forum. I think Aston have stolen the show and they have shown you can deliver high down force with a beautiful design.

Good job really as I put a deposit on the 003 a long while ago now. It’s certainly exceeded my expectations. 1000hp, carbon tub, 1350kg.

Wasn’t sure about the DB11 and the new Vantage but I am now starting to ‘get’ the new AM design direction and I think it’s great.
