Still struggling with the difference between facts and opinion I see smile

RCF is a belting engine but much less involving a drive than the C63 and M4 IMO, plus whilst well built the interior is dull and the tech distinctly last generation.

RS5 not my cup of tea but I can see the attraction.
I am not so sure it will be a much less involving drive - it will weigh about the same - and with the fun of a naturally aspirated engine will be a car you would have to work with more to get the most out of it - that's what makes it fun and involving. I like the interior and the digital dials in the RCF etc aren't too off the pace but this is undeniably newer tech. It's also a little bit cheaper which never hurts. £80k is getting on a bit, despite the engine etc. A C63 is not a sports car, it won't involve like an Elise - and neither will an RCF. I wouldn't want an RS5 either or an M4 although Id' expect both of them to outpace an RCF on a twisty route - and that would be ok by me.

I tried one.

It is less involving, IMO.

Nice car mind but not as much fun as the C63 in my view.

Nobody pays list for any of these cars either, no matter how they fund it.

That’s good news. £80k for a C class is a lot.

To be fair - so have most cars. Whilst I am no C63 fan, I reckon MB have better paint hues and interiors to offer than the car here. The grey you mention with the red seats or cream seats would look a lot nicer.

Fair do's. £56k sounds about right IMHO.

I completely agree with the last statement.

The car looks absolutely rockin’. Just went on YT to check out some sound videos of the V8 and as expected it sounds awesome..BUT...I really HATE those crackle & pop farting sounds.

It just sounds like it has indigestion and clogged intestines. Not attractive at all.

What happened to good sounding, refined, growling muscular sounding cars?
These childish flatulance cracks ruin the sound track.
Is there any possible way to get rid of these cheezy ass noises?

Probably though a tuning company and a custom map to remove the fake contrived and fake pops and bangs - they afflict Audi RS cars too.

The Ford Mustang is more honest and to be fair a cracking buy. Not as luxuriously appointed as this nor as fast but £35k vs £80k it seems a much better bet, £ for £.

They don’t pop or bang in comfort mode but my advice if that bothers you is to buy a Honda jazz or similar.

I think the point of the post was the noise was all a bit fake, contrived and kitsch and the posted would want just a more authentic and less contrived sound.

The Mustang seems a good suggestion for a purer V8 noise. Most German coupes have "fake" noise in some form or another and I know the Lexus pipes it in the speakers which seems very silly.

If you're talking £ for £ The 5.0 GT is NOT £35k...

My apologies - I was looking at used cars (lightly). Still they're a heap cheaper than a C63 and cover a not too different remit.

I’ve just bought one of these and as much as the Mustang is great i never considered it as an option, they are just aimed at completely different sectors and price points. The quality and the tech in the 63S is in a different league to the Mustang, apart from them both having V8’s I don’t really see them as comparable (new vs new).

Yes the list price is expensive but I got a 14.5% discount on mine. That said the price over the pre facelift has risen by circa 8-9k which isn’t ideal.

I kinda do. Mid sized 2 door coupe with 4 seats, driver focused cars. There’s more in common than not but yes very differently priced cars.

14.5 off is a very big discount- you must be pleased

I'm in the market for a Cab and this very appealing. I didn't realise the price hike but it explains why (for the cab) you can buy a 1 year old car for #55k instead of #85k for a new one.

Whilst 12-14% discount seems achievable its nowhere near the likes of 25% from BMW so it's still expensive compared the opposition. I'm not even looking at the Mustang BTW, I'm sure its nice but I doubt many real buyers perceive them as direct rivals.

There isn't much new stock at this time and supply seems fairly limited, whether it helps residuals, I don't know.

I now need to consider if the facelift is worth it?

Nice car and i can see why it reviews well. sadly in the UK this type of AMG in particular is driven by too many tools the image is appallingly bad.

Comparable in that way I agree, just don’t think a buyer would be considering both as an option.

14.5% discount is ok but it’s still a lot for a C class

Hopefully the lack of stock will help residuals but I won’t hold my breath!

If I’d known I’d have to wait so long to even just order the car let alone the 7 month wait for delivery I’d have just gone for the pre facelift, there were some great deals (circa -25%) on the outgoing model.

That said I tried the M4 and RS5 and they had no appeal at all so for me the C63S is worth the premium.

Agree with this, almost stopped me buying one!
