"and subtle beauty"

I'd hate to see what, in the article's eyes, is unsubtle.
I'd call it handsome rather than subtle.

And it'd be better without the two tone.
Can I get it wrapped in BRG please?

hehe

with a roofline that stretches much closer to the car’s rearmost point. Zagato’s designers placed the rear window at a steeper rake so it could feed smoothly into the bodywork and help retain the pinched section between the taillights. It was a dramatic look – but one that also created a single-piece tailgate to provide wide access to the boot. Open it, and you’re greeted by a large expanse of space
confused Isn't that pretty much the norm for any estate car? Do Zagato really think they have invented something new here?

I was in Knightsbridge a few weeks back and an AM drove past me. It was only a brief view but I couldn't figure out what it was. Looking at this article I think it might have been a Zagato of some sort.

I'm really sorry, but I can't agree with the last statement.
Zagato has met a rather understated success on track, at shows and on the road, thanks to discreet and very elegant shapes and/or details.

These last AM iterations appear loud, opulent and far from giving justice both to theirs and AM's heritage.
I understand £825k is a valuable reason to put such car on wheels but it still looks too much.

The front 3/4 view is ace I think, but from most other angles I think it looks more than a little fussy. I get that the buyer of this probably already has or has had lots of other special cars in addition to this, but I wouldn't pay anywhere near that amount for it.

A far as I know that amount just about gets you an F40 and definitely gets you a Carrera GT or LFA. All of which I'd put as both better drivers cars and better investments than this.

Who owns Zagato. It was recently owned by a Coventry based company.

I've always really liked Aston's, but can't recall many Zagato's I particularly like.

This one seems to be a bit of a marmite-mobile. Personally, I dislike the rear end style especially the massively over-designed light clusters and form of the surrounding rear bodywork. You could say these light clusters are sculptural in a way but for me they are perhaps the most fussy looking that I've ever seen on a car, the way they protrude from the body aperture with all these fins jutting out looks very awkward to my eye. And on a practical note, cleaning them looks somewhat challenging.

Why did it have to be photographed outside a Psychiatric Hospital?

I quite like them, there's a wide spectrum of specced cars out there. This green and tan one is being used quite a bit by the owner on a European road trip currently, good on them. A wonderful, relatively unique variant of a wonderful car (slight bias) smile

It's hideous. Aston designers have gone all 'angular' and 'messy' IMO. It's like an upmarket Civic Type R. Whatever happened to AM just making beautiful looking cars with nice flowing lines.
