RE: The £15k C63 AMG: Spotted
Discussion
Ahhhh, reminds me of 2007 when I bought a 2001 AMG C32. Power check, noise check, drink gas check.
Generally no worse than most cars reliabilty wise other than soft bushes and failing seat controls that drained the battery in 3 days (made the mistake of assuming the battery was screwed in "that" winter of 2010).
On the whole however, I've been happier with my Alfa 156 GTA.

I’ve been running an estate version one of these for years now. Cheaper than my old RRS to run. Good fun and a great sound. Other than the head bolts under warranty the rest has been routine maintenance. It’s been by far the longest car ownership I’ve had and will be genuinely sad when it goes. My car will sadly most likely have to go to pay for career advancement soon.
Wouldn’t go as far to say they’re reliable as in the last 12 months I’ve had to replace a cam adjuster and the cylinder head cover which cost over £2k so thank goodness for the extended warranty!! Other than that they’re a cracking motor, especially when remapped to ~510bhp and have a valvetronic exhaust.
I heard these show single figures on a hoon, they’re cheap for what they are but the true test is on your wallet, I’ve had a look at them on AT a few times and so many have 5+ owners, people must buy them, run them for 6 months then realise how expensive the fuel is so they sell them, good thing is that I don’t think they lose much money. Decent spec facelift ones have been 20-25k every time I check over the past 2 years or so!

Do you actually believe that?
Doesn't matter if I do or not. Other people might.Anyone looking to nick a C63 won't be bamboozled by removing a badge! It's still got 4 whacking great exhausts FFS.
And more pertinently in this case they've still got the big 6.3 AMG badges on the front wings!
Remove the rear badge for security reasons and leave the 2 wing badges on. Yeah right...

You posted it so I asked if you believed it.

Looks like it's had a whack on the OSR, as the tail pipes aren't straight.
Yeah, also when a car is debadged at the rear like this one, it always makes me ask why? It takes all sorts.
I quite fancy one of these next, but just can’t decide! I’ve currently got a facelift w204 C350 with the petrol V6, it’s easy to get 30-40 mpg, half the tax of the C63, and mine has a huge spec that I know I’d miss if I got a more basic C63. It’s not exactly slow either.
